Expressive Words

Image
I made the word Abdicate look like its falling down or giving up as a letter because letters are supposes to be straight and horizontal but its not because  Abdicate  is a verb that means “to give up or fail to complete one’s duties or responsibilities. Which is shown in the image to be giving up. I made the word aberration look like it's all over the place because its definition is a departure from what is normal, usual, or expected so it's not normal because letters are supposed to be straight and my process of making this was to use the definition to make it into a expressive word by making the letters look at different directions and sizes I used the word mountain by making the words look like mountain the process of making this expressive word is by making the letter act like a mountain together by stacking the letters up on each other in order to make it appeal like a mountain. my process of making the word Giraffe was to turn the letter/word into what looks ...

  1. Similarity because it has a shared visual characteristics which automatically create a relationship like in the picture they share the letter "L" and how it repeats, the process to create this picture . I manipulated the L's and twisted them to give the illusion of a circle. After, I copied and pasted and increased the size of the letters to overlap each other.   2. Figure/Ground because its based on a relationship  between an object and the surrounding.the process of making this picture was i made the chess piece very big size of 600 and made a chess piece out of letters to make it look like its inside the chess piece. 3.Proximity is objects that are closed together and perceived as groups. As you can see, there are three groups: the top, middle, and bottom group. I made six rolls of U-shaped objects grouped them into an oval shape and placed them apart into groups. 4.Continuation is the human eye will follow the smoothest path when following something and you ...

Block Set Type Reflection

1.The Method I used to create my first block set type. First I copied and pasted the word from the instructions from the lesson. Then i adjusted the size of the words to enlarge it, making the 1st ,3rd ,5th words the same size and the 2nd ,4th ,6th words the same size too which made of pattern small big small big small big. thats how i made my first block set type it was pretty simply when you get used to it.the hardest part was trying to find the right space for all the words to fit in the block. 2. The method i used to create the condensed sans-serif block set type. First i thought of some random words which i turned into a condensed sans-serif font, then i did the same thing to the word i did in the first block type enlarging the tpye which was hard to fit all the letters when i evenly spaced then out to make it more appealing. this is when the project became fun because of the different tpyes making the word look better. 3. I basically used the same method from the condensed sans-s...
