self-portrait in gray and colored

 



My experience and process about the project "self-portrait in gray" was very interesting because it take a very long time to layer the works ands took me some thing of how am gonna execute the project, and there were plenty of challenges on the way in order to finish this project.The process of creating this project is not simple at all, it took me  a lot of time, first i had to take a picture in photoshop and turn it gray and than i use 6 layers so 6 different colors of grey to create the picture, but a challenge i encounter was the crazy amounts of layer and confusing, so i had to restart because the finish project of my old one was not that pretty because there was lot of white spots and i did think that was visually appealing, so i restarted and took my time with the pen tool using 200% zoom for a detailed look i traced all the lines and filled in the colors the hardest part of the project was the glasses it was hard to fill them.and i work from the outside to inside layer by layer getting this finish piece, i enjoyed doing this project the final piece looks nice.and when i was finished with the grey piece i started with colored piece with a background, first i replaced the grey color to color thats would work with together like green, pink and yellow and then i curved some of my line to make it look better, after i finished the color i created a night city as my background like new york the yellow from the moon and windows give contrast to the background and helps the yellow on my hair stand out and making it like the light is shining down on my hair. i learned from this project was to create a image on adobe illustrator and a creative element is texture from the hair due to the layers gives the hair a more real look to it. the color work improved because i add better colors and the background gives the picture more depth.i also learned how to create creative backgrounds and make colors compliment even other

    One part of the artwork that can be improved is to maybe next time try and separate the space between the forehead and hair so it doesn't look all together in the colored one. one part of the drawing that i like is how you can see the different layers in the grey scale one. the creativity in. the colored one is very good

    Very Nice Jayden,I like how creative the background is the tracing and color is very good. One thing to improve is maybe to align the picture at the bottom if that works because it would fit in better. Overall very nice design👍🏻

    i like the background and the diversity in colors. One thing that could be improved is the space between the hair and your forehead.

    The colors you used for yourself matches with the city background and it goes really well. I like how you defined your glasses in the image. My only critique is how I wish you could've put the image at the bottom of the page and not leave it flowing.

    Its a very nice self-portrait using a nice color color palette but fix the cropping as he looks out of place in the middle without his body

Image File Formats
