Yayoi Kusama uses repetition in this art piece by using polka dots in her art work. she uses these dots because of a symptom of her obsessive-compulsive disorder resulting from her childhood trauma .Yayoi Kusama uses repetition because she repeats shapes and the polka dot making a pattern and the pattern looks endless and goes on infinitely, making an illusion that shows an object repeating forever.
