Logo Development

The process with my 25 pencils drafts for me was the hardest and most difficult part of the whole project just due to brainstorming because before the draft i was doing a chess T shirt design which had me drained due to thinking about designs for the chess and after i was finished with that i began my journey with the long brainstorming and think bout a logo thats would perfectly reflect by brand ideals and purpose which was provides Athletes with a feeling of motivation, excitement ,and confidents. and my vales for my brand was to commitment to athletes and sports participation and community engagement and big dreams and play to win , in order to make these value shown in my logo/brand i wanna a simple look that give the values without overflowing the audiences/costumer with too much other non essential details in order not to overwhelmed. just to get the point and keep it simple. which led to these drafts, the first page, i use GameTime as the title because it simple and gives the vibes of sports by adding sports equipment make it simple that we are selling sport equipment to enhances the games and the world of sports, but it got easier after i realized it was a draft and it didn't have to be perfect so i just drew what immediately came to my mind which was easy and even fun because it helped me relax. and after these drafts and fun part started i got to revised the top 5 best ones which i pick the more simple ones because it finds my brand because people identify simple logos better than the complex ones because they use minimum texts and maximum visual appeal.

My process continues from the hand rough drafts to the 5 digital versions, it was so much easier than drawing it on paper because on Adobe illustrator, it provides very accurate and precise tools which was very helpful, for design one, i use the initials "GT" because i wanted it to be simple after i used the pen tool to create the shadow of the player from football to basketball and baseball for some diversity but also simple ad gets the point through to the consumer. The second draft, i got the example form the nike logo but i didn’t want copy it because i wanted to be original so i made the swish into a baseball bat but i didn’t use it as my final because its not considered original in my opinion. The third design was simple i just used the scale to make the "T" stand out in order to give emphasize on the T and hierarchy also i had it into a script font to make it more fancy and visually appealing to the consumers also help welcome new athletes. The fourth draft was just for fun i like track and field so i thought other would so i made it more cartoon look.and lastly the fifth design, was based off a baseball going through the logo with fire it could of been more appealing if i put more work into the work but i felt like the first one was simple and if i used the fifth one. it could just ruin the Point of making the logo more simple and get straight and to the point. so at the end i picked the first one to do my final with because its simple and gives a lot of details too. for my final, i just change some of the colors and textures of the GT and add the shadows that was my favorite because its unique and shows real life because of the shadows, everyone has a shadow making it more realist. and for the other i change the spacing between the letters using leading and kerning for more appeal moving around the GT.
