Finn Partners Webinar revise

The event was really interesting and fun. I liked looking at all the different projects the students came up with, and their Google Slides were very well put together. What made the presentations even better was how each person explained how they created their brand logos and their thought process behind it.

John, Maria, and Leona all did a good job on their presentations. John explained his work very clearly, and even though I thought his final design could’ve used a bit more detail considering it was a two-week project, his presentation was still decent. Maria’s designs reminded me a lot of Discord. "Discord" is an instant messaging and VoIP social platform used mainly for gaming. Her design was very similar to it in style and focus, which I thought was pretty cool. Leona also had a nice presentation and explained her ideas well.

My favorite project was Eric’s. I really liked how he took the idea of coffee and turned it into something creative and unique. The logo with the mountain was especially nice—very creative! I never would’ve thought about mixing coffee with a mountain, but it worked really well and looked great.

If I ever got the chance to present my own project, I feel like I’d learn a lot. Getting advice from real world designers would help me improve my brand logo and give me ideas I might not think of on my own. One thing that stood out to me during the event was how the designers gave feedback that encouraged the students to think deeper about their ideas and branding, it wasn’t just about how it looked, but why it mattered also they didn't discouraged the students with their criticism in contrast it encouraged them to do better and improve their work with their advice.

Overall, the event was a great experience. I enjoyed seeing the student work and hearing the feedback they got.
