Color for Designers

 1. What are pixels? A pixel is one of the very small dots or squares that make up an image on a computer screen in order to image and the more pixels there are, the more the image looks real or accurate and all digital image is made up of pixels the only differences is the amount of pixels to make the images for detailed or blurry.


2. How is color viewed in computer monitors? According to the Color for designers , the color viewed in the computer monitors are RGB, RED,GREEN,BLUE mixing theses colors creates new colors used in computers but the different colors we see are due to different combinations and intensities of these three primary color.


3. What is the additive color space? The additive color space is the RGB, because the RED,GREEN,BLUE Colors combine to create other colors.




4. Describe which additive color slider values in InDesign you would use to make white and black. The additive color slider values in InDesign you would use to make White and Black For White, 100% RED, 100% GREEN, 100% BLUE which Creates WHITE, and For BLACK is 0% RED, 0% GREEN, and 0% BLUE Creating BLACK.


5. What is the subtractive color space? Subtractive color space is using the colors cyan, magenta, yellow, and black in order to mix colors in order to print.




6. Describe which subtractive color slider values in InDesign you would use to make white and black? The subtractive colors slider values in InDesign to make BLACK and WHITE are for BLACK, 100% CYAN, 100% MAGENTA, 100% YELLOW, and 100% BLACK. and for WHITE, 0% CYAN, 0% MAGENTA, 0% YELLOW, 0% BLACK.



7. What is color calibration? Color calibration is the way to verify that the colors appear the same on different screens.


8. How does the PMS (Pantone Matching System) color system ensure color fidelity? The Pantone Matching System ensures color fidelity by assigning a number sequence to all the colors used in InDesign.



9. What is analog color (analog ≠ analogous)? Analog color are the colors that are next to each other on the color wheel and work well with each other.


10. What is digital color? Digital color is a color that is created and displayed on a digital device, such as a computer screen, phone, or tablet.
